Skies Of Arcadia -Vyse

Back when I was a wee teen, the sega dreamcast was the console that hit me the hardest. And the game that rocked my world the most was Skies of Arcadia- captaining an airship crewed with sky pirates into a world of adventure struck a deep chord, and the notes I didn’t realize sega had borrowed from Laputa and Nausicaa set me up for a deep love of all things Ghibli years later. I wanted to stretch my legs on some fleshed out, material-specific redesign for fun and Vyse leapt out as a character I hadn’t tried drawing since I was an obsessed 8th grader. I’ve had a lot of fun streaming the process and poking at this piece over the last week, but it’s time to call it a wrap! Hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it.
